Zo-Trope. For you movie buffs out there this is the perfect joke. American Zoetrope is the production company of which Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese are a part. My friends and wife all call me Zo, I love Scorsese and Coppola films so the name of this podcast is the best thing I ever heard.
I have a mission for this podcast. The mission simply put is to help increase interest and appreciation in film as an art form. I hope that discussing the different elements of film will not only increase your knowledge and understanding as a listener, dedicated I hope, but my own knowledge as well.
What can you expect from this awesome podcast? We will discuss key figures in film making, actors, directors, crew, producers, who have helped to create and/or change the landscape of cinema. This is will be a good time. Occasionally I’ll have a guest with whom I can discuss my “deep” thoughts, but it will be mostly this guy, alone, hoping to hear from my many happy listeners. Wow that sounded like the desperate plea of a fat virgin at the Playboy Mansion.
The first part of my new podcast will be discussing my favorite directors, the players in their casts and some of their prominent and beloved films. Episode Numero Uno is Martin Scorsese, The O.G. of modern era cinema.
